BREAKING NEWS - DRAMATIC VOTE SETS NORTHAM NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN ON PATH TO REFERENDUM!!!!

Northam Town Council has sent the Neighbourhood Plan to Torridge District Council for Referendum. Following the historic vote Torridge will produce a report and then vote to set up the referendum – possibly in June.

NORTHAM TOWN HALL WINDMILL LANE - THE VOTE ON WHETHER OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN GOES FORWARD REFERENDUM - ALL WELCOME TO SUPPORT THE PLAN!

Tomorrow evening the Full Council will vote on sending the Plan to Torridge for them vote on the referendum. It's a REAL milestone - and a great day for the Plan!😀

IT PASSED WITH FLYING COLOURS - NOW FOR THE QUESTIONS!

Northam Neighbourhood Plan PASSED its examination with flying colours - 22 policies went in and 22 came out although two were combined. SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR US?

HAS THE PLAN CHANGED?
WILL IT STILL PROTECT OUR COUNTRYSIDE?
DOES THERE NEED TO BE A REFERENDUM?

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE NORTHAM NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN?
PLENTY!
This month Northam Town Council and Torridge District Council have been working on the examiner's initial (fact-checking) report. Both Councils have responded to the report positively and it looks like the examination and the Plan are making good progress. Watch this space for more news!

After the success of the Consultation the EXAMINATION Is now underway. An independent examiner will issue a report and some Plan policies may change. THE GOOD NEWS.
