We would to thank Claire Jolly of Morrisons Bideford for giving us Tea, Coffee and other goodies, and even a new kettle.
Claire is a good friend to the station and has always been so supportive of us..
Also we had the opportunity to welcome her to our drill night last Monday.

The Bideford Bike Show Team were delighted to be invited to Bideford Fire Station this evening to meet up with Natalie Ffc Searle from the Fire Fighters Charity 🔥 to present her with a cheque for £572.00 — money raised from our very first Bumper Bingo charity event 😀

It was also drill night at the station, and we were honoured to stay and watch Neil, Dan and the team practising different scenarios. Tonight’s drills involved working with their ladders, practising taking equipment such as fire extinguishers, buckets and other items up onto the roof of the fire station — great teamwork and skill on display! 🚒

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Bumper Bingo and helped us raise such an amazing amount for a truly worthwhile cause! 👏

Thanks to Bideford Bike Show, Bideford Conservative Club and the staff at Morrisons Bideford for holding a charity Bingo Night in aid of the Firefighters charity and Breast Cancer now.

When did you last test your smoke alarms? Now is the perfect time, ahead of the colder months.

Check you have a working alarm on every level 🌟 Test monthly by pressing the button until it beeps 🌟 Plan an escape route and practice it 🌟 Help vulnerable friends or neighbours test theirs.

A fire earlier today at a large recycling building in Torrington is likely to have started from the careless disposal of a single battery lithium-ion battery, which has caused a very impactful fire to an essential service for the area.

The batteries, often found in products such as v**es, laptops, mobile phones and decorations, can burst into flames when crushed in the back of a truck or at a waste site.

They must not be put in your general waste bin or recycling bin. Instead, look for special v**e and battery bins found in many shops, supermarkets and household waste recycling centres. Some councils also offer kerbside collections.
