๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ HE DID IT! ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿš’
A massive round of applause for our very own Jamie, who smashed the London Marathon yesterday! ๐Ÿ…

Jamie crossed the finish line with an incredible official time of 3 hours and 22 minutes. We couldnโ€™t be prouder of the dedication heโ€™s shown throughout his training and on the course itself.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Impact Update
Because of your incredible generosity, Jamie has raised over ยฃ3,700 for The Fire Fighters Charity so far! This money goes directly toward supporting the mental and physical health of the UKโ€™s fire services community.

๐Ÿ”— Still time to donate!
If youโ€™d like to help push that total even higher or leave a message of congratulations, the JustGiving page is still open:

Good luck to Firefighter Gough from Bicester Fire Station who will be running the London Marathon!

Instead of driving our fire engines and running around the drill yard, this Sunday, Jamie will be running the 26.2miles on behalf of The Firefighters Charity in memory of FF Jennie Logan and FF Martyn Sadler.

Everyone from the station will be watching and supporting you, Jamie! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿš’ โค๏ธ

At 17:16 today crews from Bicester Fire Station Banbury Fire Station and Kidlington Fire Station were called to a lorry that had gone onto itโ€™s side at Baynardโ€™s Green roundabout at the junction of the A43 and B4100.

The driver suffering from minor injuries was unable to leave the vehicle and was released by the fire service after a handover from South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust who were in attendance when we arrived.

There was a road closure in place which has now been reopened whilst Thames Valley Police dealt with the rest of the incident supported by a local recovery firm to move the vehicle.

This incident was a fantastic example of our blue light partners working together to achieve a successful outcome.

Thankyou isnโ€™t enough for John and his team who have been putting together this water feature at the station this week.

We are absolutely blown away with it and the positive impact it will have on us as a station, those who work here and the families affected by the events of last year canโ€™t be understated.
