Update on Pioneer Square toilets. Officers at Cherwell have claimed "a miscommunication," lead to the closure sign being put up. The decision at Full Council, which I voted against, to close the toilets stands, however they have been given a reprieve until the Bicester Area Oversight group convenes at some point in the future to decide if it will allocate some of it's budget to keep the toilets open. I urge the LibDems to do the right thing and vote funds to keep the toilets open.

The public toilets in Pioneer Square are to be closed on 5th May. All for the Liberal Democrats to save £20,000. We proposed a way to keep them open but we were voted down. This is frankly scandalous, hurting the most vulnerable people in our society, and damaging the fabric of our town. If you re-elect me, I will fight to reopen them.

Wow, who would have thought that the LibDems and Reform would have this in common.

Updated on road works to construct a new roundabout on the junction of Middleton Stoney Road and Oxford Road: - To facilitate the programme, Middleton Stoney Road will be closed from 18 May until the end of October between Kings End and Oxford Road. Vehicle access to all properties on Middleton Stoney Road will be maintained at all times via the western end of the road from the Vendee Drive roundabout, although vehicles will not be able to travel to or from Kings End and Oxford Road during the closure. Pedestrian and cycle access will remain available throughout. (see attached plan).

This large development on the edge of Caversfield is totally inappropriate. Only a vote for Nick Mawer will make sure you have a strong Councillor for Bicester North and Caversfield, who can stand up for residents.

A good example of what can be achieved by cross party working. Whilst out canvassing recently, I came across a gentleman who was waiting for a long time to hear back from our MP. I said that I would contact Calum for him again and gently remind him. Today I got an email from Calum's team saying that they had dug out the ward member's file and were going to contact him. Thank you to Gemma in Calum's team for letting me know.
