Rother Community Choir was formed in January 2010 and has already raised lots of money for local charities. The ‘brainchild’ of Sally Vennard, a Rother District Council employee who was inspired by the BBC2 series featuring conductor Gareth Malone on a mission to get the nation singing, this choir was created for the Council’s employees to join. It very quickly grew, rehearsing away from the workp
lace and welcoming new members with no links with Rother DC. Conducted and directed by Lorraine Barry, and accompanied by Hannah Gardner (from Oct 2016) the choir have over 40 members. We rehearse every Tuesday 7pm-9pm, at St Marks Church Hall, Little Common Road, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, TN39 4BZ. Rother Community Choir has a wide variety of songs from choral pieces to 60’s and more recent popular songs.
