This page has been created to be people aware how government cuts are threatening a 100% cut to the funding of Pathways. Pathways is a scheme that offers the safety of vulnerable adults with mental health problems by providing a supported living environment that helps the residents manage their health effectively. It provides 24/7 support for people struggling with their mental health; to learn to

live independently, live the best life they can while looking after their mental and physical health, find work, education or training and manage their money effectively. Without this help local authorities would have to spend around £105,000 keeping people in inadequate bed and breakfast accommodation. Some of the customers to pathways would have most certainly ended up in hospital, either in an acute ward or in a medium secure unit, at an average cost of £750 per week, nearly 300,000 per year.
