With warm weather forecast this weekend and into next week, more of us will enjoy spending time in, on, or around water, so it’s important to stay safe.

Almost half (47%) of UK accidental drownings happen between May and August, with higher risks during warmer weather.

Keep yourself and your family safe:
• Check for hazards, including depth, currents, tides, and hidden underwater objects.
• Stay together and swim in lifeguarded areas.

In an emergency:
• Call 999 immediately
• If you fall in or become tired, stay calm, float on your back, and call for help

🏊‍♂️ Runnymede Pool Reopening Tomorrow!

We are excited to announce that Runnymede Pool will reopen on Wednesday morning! Thank you so much for your patience while the engineers fixed the problem. We know how much you’ve missed getting back into the water, and we can’t wait to welcome you back.

What you need to know:
• Swimming Lessons: All scheduled lessons will run exactly as planned.
• Public Sessions: All public swimming slots will return to their normal timetable.

Grab your goggles, and we'll see you at the pool! 💦

Due to an issue requiring the evacuation of the building, Runnymede Leisure Centre is temporarily closed while we investigate the problem.
