Here’s what’s on at the Club this week.. and we’re still busy decorating and bringing the Club up to date.

If you like creating why not join one of the craft groups? If you like quizzes ( and a chip butty and mushy peas) come along and bring a team ( or yourself) to our friendly quiz and if you like live music in a room with real good acoustics.. why not join us on Friday and Saturday evening?

And…. If you have served, you have a family member who has served/ is serving we would love to see you on Friday 12-3pm where you can meet our Armed Forces Champions and see what “ The Hub at the Club” is all about

Every Friday we host this Hub at the Club.. Open for a cuppa or something stronger, a chat, sharing of memories, a game of darts, dominoes or snooker….We also have accredited Armed Forces Champions who can offer advice and support.
A great way to spend a Friday afternoon, with like minded people.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Charity Awareness Day on Sunday 6th September.
We were raising money for the Cancer Pit Stop groups and the Armed Forces Hub, which are based at the Club.
We had three craft stalls, children's Fancy Dress; raffles; face painting and superb live entertainment in the afternoon and evening.
One of the singers had his face painted too after a whip round raised £50 for him to have a go ….
The final figure raised was £1033.35! ( who gave 35p?). A huge amount!

Well done and thank you also to Jude, our Stewardess, all the helpers and supporters!

Every month the RBL Club hosts two Cancer Pitstop meetings and every Friday we host an Armed Forces/999 Services Hub ….
The weather is set fair on Sunday and we are having a fundraising day to raise funds for these good causes…
There’s something for everyone, including activities for kids, a high quality craft stall, a chance to play on some of the finest snooker tables in town and live music from 2pm.
You get the chance to have a look at the latest stage in our “ bringing the Club decor from 1970s to the 21st Century” … and to discuss our plans for the future, all while listening to Neil James, Mark Tempest, Jamie Wright and friends then … from 7pm local RAF veteran Sam Law will be taking the stage.

If you’ve not been in before- we are the brick building on Strutt Street, opposite the Co-op. Live music, something for the kids and everything else we have to offer … make the Club this Sunday’s place to be.

So we think you all know that Belper’s RBL Club hosts a lot of community groups. This is part of our responsibility to “ support the charitable aims of the RBL” including providing support and comradeship.
We host two Cancer Pit Stop meetings each month and an Armed Forces Hub every week.
This event is to raise funds to support these groups … there’s lots going on during the day 2-6pm, including activities for children and the chance to show off your skills on some of the finest snooker tables in town.

Then from 7pm the fabulous Sam Law (RAF veteran) will be entertaining us.

Everyone welcome ( you will also be able to see the next stage of our refurbishment as we bring the Club into 21st Century!)

It’s our Thursday Quiz and Chips Night on 3rd September.

Roger Quizmaster Morgan sets the questions, it’s £2.00 per person, 7.30pm start, a friendly bunch and we’ve also got mint sauce for the mushy peas!
Where else can you get such a bargain evening? …. and the chance to win on Play Your Cards Right.
