🎬 Archive at 25

Our first Archive at 25 pick this September comes from Ciara Chambers, Head of the School of Film, Music & Theatre at University College Cork and Northern Ireland Screen Board Member.

Ciara reflects on her long-standing relationship with the Digital Film Archive, a collaboration that has woven in and out of her career for more than twenty years.

Her pick is the Outsider Cinema Trailer (2026), which showcases collections featured in her book Outsider Cinema: Independent and Amateur Filmmaking in Northern Ireland, 1929–1989.

She shares how watching the trailer takes her back to when she first fell in love with the Digital Film Archive and why, almost a generation later, it continues to be a companion throughout her academic work.
