Good morning colleagues
The next Sanctuary Coffee Morning is coming up soon, so I would be grateful if you could pass the below invitation on to anyone in your network who might find it useful!
---
Join us for our next Sanctuary Coffee Morning to hear all about books and libraries:
📚 Libraries of Sanctuary
📅 Wednesday, 3 December
🕙 10:00am – 12:00 noon
📍 Sanctuary Room, 48 University Road
Everyone is welcome - including refugees and those seeking asylum. Children are welcome too (with supervision), and we’ll have some free children’s books to give away as gifts on the day!
As always, we’ll provide tea, coffee, and cakes - and we'll be taking a tour of the McClay Library at Queen's. Join us to find out how to register for our free, 1-year Associate Library Membership scheme for those seeking sanctuary here.

☕ What are Sanctuary Coffee Mornings?
They’re a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy tea, coffee, pastries, and, most importantly, gain access to useful information. The sessions take place one Wednesday a month from 10am to 12.00 noon at 48 University Road. You’ll find us in the Seminar Room (ground floor, first door on the right as you enter the building).
Places are limited, so please make sure you register in advance using the link provided above.
💬 Language Support:
An Arabic interpreter will be available at all sessions. If you need interpretation in another language, PLEASE EMAIL MAURICE MACARTNEY to make this request: [email protected]
🧸 Family-Friendly:
Children are welcome to join, but they must be supervised by parents at all times. We’ll have some toys and drawing materials available to help keep them entertained.
ℹ️ What to Expect:
Each session includes a short presentation and plenty of time for questions.
All are welcome, especially Refugees and those going through the asylum process!
