210 (NI) MMR was formed in 2023 from the amalgamation of 204 Fd Hosp and 253 Med Regt.
210 (NI) MMR is an Army Reserve Medical Regiment with several locations in Northern Ireland. Our Regimental Headquarters is on the outskirts of Belfast and we recruit from all sectors of the Health Service and support services across Northern Ireland. Real life medical support to the British Troops in Nijmegen🇳🇱 As part of our annual camp our reservists provided their medical skills to British troops marching in Nijmegen- a 4 day 100 mile march.
We had Doctors and nurses alongside physios , pharmacists and drivers - where else do you get an opportunity to work with multi nations like the Americans, Dutch and Germans ?!
This qualifies our soldiers for a ÂŁ2k tax free bounty, they developed new skills and made friends over the world.

Road Safety Roadshow

Last week we assisted at the NI Road Safety Roadshow in Thiepval Barracks, in partnership with Cool FM, emergency services, and road safety organisations.

The event focused on the main causes of serious and fatal road traffic collisions and was designed to raise awareness to the real world consequences of unsafe driving.

Last month at 210 MMR was a busy one.

*Our main drive has been training to help provide medical cover for the Nijmegen Marches in the Netherlands this July. This is the world’s largest marching event, with 40,000+ participants.

Training for this has involved foot care simulations, consolidation of primary health care knowledge, and even lessons in emergency dental care.

*Our Military Skills team has continued training for the AMSTTE competition - a mil skills competition for Army Medical Services teams, as well as international competitors.

Training included revision of care under fire, CBRN casualty, and counter drone drills.

*Weekly Parade Night training continued, with self directed PT, European Driver Matrix, musculoskeletal injury, and “electromed” check training.
