Young Greens Northern Ireland

Young Greens Northern Ireland The Young Greens Northern Ireland are the youth wing of the Green Party of Northern Ireland.

We are a group for young people who are interested in Green politics within Northern Ireland. We are based at QUB, but open to anyone from 18-29, whether you're a student or not. We get involved in local and national campaigns, especially ones that affect young people or are focused on Green issues. If you have a campaign we could be involved in, send us a message and we'll have a look. Everyone i

s welcome to our meetings and you don't even have to be a member of the Green Party. As a movement the Greens stand for a number of principles including:
- Decision making at the lowest effective level
- Protecting our environment
- Promoting healthy, fresh and organic food
- An economy that includes things other than money
- Caring for the most vulnerable in society
- Open, transparent, ethical representation
- LGBT+ Rights
- Anti-Racism
- Feminism
- The rights of anyone who is marginalised by society

As a worldwide movement, we also offer many exciting opportunities to network with other Greens across Europe and beyond!

Young people don’t spontaneously decide to burn their own cities.

What we are seeing is a result of a failure of leadership and an abandonment of many parts of our society.

The actions of rioters are unacceptable, but if we want real change we need to tackle this at the root.

A bus is also hijacked and a press photographer assaulted during the disorder.
