Twenty years of showing up.
Since 2006, the SOS Bus has been on Belfast's streets every night we're needed.
The numbers tell part of the story.
379,723 people helped.
16,232 crisis interventions.
800 brought safely to A&E.
Backed by 220 trained volunteers easing pressure on the emergency services, shift after shift.
But behind every number is a person who was frightened, injured or alone, and found a safe place waiting.
Every night we're out, Belfast is safer.
Twenty years on, the need hasn't gone away.
Help us keep going — sponsor, volunteer or donate through our website.

SOS Bus NI works in partnership with emergency services, charities, businesses and community groups to support vulnerable people and make Belfast safer.

Keeping the bus on Belfast's streets takes more than heart, though.
It takes fuel, first aid supplies, warm provisions and the resources to keep the lights on, night after night.
That's where local businesses come in.

Ever wondered what a night on the SOS Bus actually looks like?

Here it is, hour by hour.

10pm. The brief. The kettle on. The kit checked.
The doors open at Shaftesbury Square, and the first calls come in.

Through the small hours — first aid, a listening ear, a warm place to sit when the night has taken a difficult turn.

2am. Get Home Safe kicks in. Taxis, friends, family, whatever it takes to get someone back safely.

3am. We stay until the last person is sorted.

That's one shift.
And behind every one is a volunteer who simply chose to show up.

No experience needed. Full training provided.

Someone has to show up.
When the night turns difficult and someone is frightened, injured or alone, they need a person to be there.
Our volunteers are that person.
Trained in first aid. Ready to listen. There to help someone reach safety.
You don't need experience. You just need to care.
We'll provide the rest.

When Belfast needs a safe place, SOS Bus NI is there.
Our volunteers meet people without judgement and help them take the next safe step, whether that means first aid, emotional support, shelter, signposting or transport.
But keeping that safe place open takes continued support from people and businesses across Northern Ireland.
Donate today and help keep the SOS Bus on Belfast’s streets.

SOS Bus NI works with emergency services, charities and community organisations to support vulnerable people and reduce pressure on other services.

A safer Belfast starts with people who care. 💛

SOS Bus NI is there for people at the moments they need support most, whether they’re vulnerable, injured, lost, alone or simply need someone to help them get home safely.

As SOS NI Ambassador, Richard Dormer is helping us shine a light on the work our volunteers do across Belfast every week.

But we can’t do it without support.

You can help by:

* Volunteering your time
* Making a donation
* Supporting our work as a business
* Simply sharing what we do

Every bit of support helps us keep the bus on the road and the doors open for someone who needs us.
