Today is so help us spread the word about the importance of donating blood.

Did you know that in Northern Ireland we need 1,200 blood donors every week and every one of those donations could save 3 lives!

Many of those donations will go towards helping people with blood cancer so if you are able to give blood please check out Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service for details of sessions and times you can donate.

We're also offering a 10% Discount on tickets to our Gala Ball. Use code WBD26 at checkout to receive the discount. Offer ends tonight.

LLNI Ambassador Anne Marie McAleese recently met with fundraiser Naomi Given to say a huge thank you and congratulations for her amazing efforts.

Naomi marked her 33rd Birthday in April by running 33 miles in one day! An amazing achievement in itself but even more impressive when she followed it up by running the Belfast marathon less than two weeks later!

Naomi's efforts were well worth it and she raised £5212 for blood cancer research in Northern Ireland.

Join us on Thursday 2nd July in the beautiful surroundings of the Clandeboye Estate for a Creative Wellbeing Workshop led by artist Beth McComish.

The session gives supporters a chance to enjoy a gentle, relaxed session exploring their creative side whilst reflecting on their journey with blood cancer.

Participants will use a favourite quote or song lyric to inspire them to create a piece of artwork to take home.

To book your free space please go to www.llni.co.uk/event/creative-wellbeing-workshop-2/

We recently welcomed Blake McVeigh along with his mum Margaret and daughter Matilda when he came to present us with a cheque for an amazing £5847!

He also took the opportunity to visit some LLNI funded researchers in the lab and see first-hand where his donation will be used.

Blake wanted to raise money for blood cancer research in memory of his dad Walter who sadly passed away from leukaemia. Walter was a huge Manchester United fan so it was fitting that Blake raised the money by running the Manchester Marathon. If that wasn't enough he also took on the Belfast marathon!

A huge thank you to Blake for his amazing fundraising and everyone who supported him.
