On behalf of the officers, staff, and members of the North Belfast branch of the Ulster Political Research Group, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
We would also like to reflect on this year and the many trials and tribulations we encountered and overcame. This past year should be a lesson to the wider community that genuine, principled loyalty should and will always overcome selfish criminality. All those who came together for the betterment of this community, who put aside their self-interest for the greater good of our people, should be very proud of themselves. The dignity and honor displayed in remembering our dead were second to none.
Going forward into 2026, we still have a lot of work to do, but let me assure you, we will meet all challenges head-on. We will continue to build on all levels within the community to strengthen our areas and show our people that they have not been abandoned. Together we will move forward to ensure our government reps are acting for our people and to provide the backstop should our people ever face danger from any threat, political, criminal, or otherwise.
When we ask, "Who shall separate us?" we mean it.
