Delighted to see my friend Róis-Máire Donnelly is to become the next Mayor of Belfast.

From the day she was elected, Róis-Máire has worked tirelessly for people and has always led from the front when it comes to supporting families across Springhill, Ballymurphy, Whiterock and beyond.

She will bring a determination and real leadership to the role, and I know she will serve the city with great pride.

Wishing her every success for the year ahead as she represents Upper Springfield and Black Mountain as First Citizen of Belfast.

It was great to visit the Black Ridge development and to get a tour of the new Over-55s apartments with Apex Housing.

It’s brilliant to see such high-quality homes being delivered for people who really need them, with modern, accessible housing that will make a real difference to people's quality of life.

Sinn Féin will continue working to deliver the quality social and affordable housing that communities across west Belfast deserve.

It’s great to see the pedestrian barriers at the bottom of New Barnsley have now been replaced following recent damage.

This was an important safety issue for local residents, particularly for pedestrians and families using the crossing every day.
