Please be aware ⚠️

We currently have blue green algae present in Stewartby Lake at the Millennium Country Park.

Please keep dogs away from the water.
Please note: Due to the industrial history of the site, we do not recommend allowing dogs into the lake at any time - even when blue green algae is not present.

Remember: Swimming is never permitted in any of the lakes or bodies of water across our sites, as it is not safe to do so.

BRICKHILL SPEEDWATCH

The main complaint from Brickhill residents is Traffic (mostly speed, reckless and inconsiderate driving)

Would you like to join the newly set up Speedwatch Group? You will be one of over 700 such groups throughout Bedfordshire

You even get your own Hi-Viz Jacket, Cap, and Training Manual. Training is mostly online

Commitment – as much time as you want, but wouldn’t normally expect more than two hours per month

Weekdays only, one hour per session, hours from 10 am to 7 pm in general, minimum of two sessions per month. We share the workload; you are not expected to attend every session, and you are not under any obligation. We work generally from April through to October each year (light too poor outside these months)

All our activities are supervised and approved by Bedfordshire Police, but otherwise we are an independent organisation

If interested, please contact me – Tim Papworth, Coordinator

| We are appealing for information after an aggravated burglary in Bedford on Wednesday (22 April).

At approximately 7pm, three men forced their way into a property in Eagle Gardens, threatening the occupants with a knife before stealing items. They made off from the property in a black Mercedes B Class car, which is believed to have had a cloned registration plate.

We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry but would also like to urge the public to get in touch with any information.

If you were in the area at the time and witnessed anything suspicious or have dash cam footage of a car matching this description, please do contact us. Your information could be vital in apprehending these dangerous offenders and bringing them to justice.

Anyone with information can contact us via our website or by calling 101, quoting reference Operation Rilmark: https://orlo.uk/29slb
