A few years ago, at the height of the pandemic, I had the privilege of music directing a special project with the schools and young people I was working with at the time.

It was a deeply humbling experience. Hearing first-hand from so many young people and their families about the challenges they faced during such an uncertain and difficult period left a lasting impression on me. Yet amidst the hardship, I also witnessed extraordinary resilience, courage, and hope.

Visiting these incredible schools during a time of unprecedented uncertainty inspired me to create something positive with a team of dedicated colleagues and in partnership with the Southwark Catholic Diocese. Together, we sought to use music as a way of bringing people together, giving young people a voice, and reminding ourselves of the strength that exists within our communities.

Today, as we continue to witness events that can create division and heightened tension, I am reminded of the lessons learned during that time. There are important conversations to be had and challenges to address, but we must do so with compassion, understanding, and a commitment to unity.

Our greatest strength has always been our ability to stand together, support one another, and find common ground even in the most difficult circumstances.

United we stand, divided we fall. Together, we will overcome.

Wonderful time in the Riverfield ward!

It was great to be out in Riverfield today talking to residents. Thank you for sharing your views, there are issues that still need addressing, and if I’m elected next year, I will work to tackle them.

It was also encouraging to hear positive feedback about our party leader, Kemi Badenoch. As a Conservative, I’m committed to supporting our community, keeping our streets safe, and backing local businesses so Riverfield and Bedford Borough can thrive.
