Join local historian Barry Darch for a fascinating talk exploring the everyday lives of ordinary people in Beccles between 1700 and 1920. Discover how industrial expansion, religious institutions, and new opportunities for leisure and self-improvement shaped life in our town over more than two centuries.

Join Stories of Us, a free creative programme for young people aged 14 to 18.

Explore identity, culture and self-expression through art, meet new people, enjoy creative workshops, and even showcase your work in an exhibition at Beccles Library.

Looking for something fun to do with your little one? 🧸🎶 Join us for one of our free weekly sessions for families with young children!

Stay & Play
Wednesdays, 10am–11am
A relaxed drop-in with toys for little ones to enjoy while parents and carers can chat.

Music Makers
Fridays, 10am–11am
Enjoy instruments, nursery rhymes, singing and lots of musical fun!

Both sessions are free and there’s no need to book, just come along.

Please remember to leave buggies in the designated buggy park area in the room.
