🏆 TPC TWOS NATIONAL FINAL – AUCHTERARDER GOLF CLUB 🏆
After a full season of TPC Twos Pairs Events, yesterday saw us bring everything to a close with our National Final at Auchterarder Golf Club.
And, as seems to be tradition with this particular final, the Scottish weather decided to give us a bit of everything! 🌧️💨☀️
Rain, wind and, every now and again, a brief spell of something that almost resembled decent weather. 😂
The format was the same as throughout the season — Handicap Counting Pairs Aggregate, with both players’ Stableford scores added together to make the team total.
It’s a tough format because there’s nowhere to hide, but we still think it’s the fairest way to decide a pairs competition. Both players have to contribute!
The best individual scores of the day came from Steven Bennie and Ewan Campbell, who both returned an excellent 36 points.
Unfortunately for Steven, his partner Craig clearly wasn’t too keen on the idea of a trip to Sawgrass, firing in a solid 21 points and throwing Steven firmly under the bus. 😂
Ewan’s partner, Stephen Massie, managed a much more respectable 30 points, giving the pair a combined 66 points.
That was good enough to have them sitting at the top of the leaderboard for most of the day and they would eventually finish in a very creditable 2nd place.
But there could only be one winner...

With individual scores of 35 and 34 points, the boys combined for a superb 69 points, winning the National Final by three shots and booking themselves a trip to...

Not a bad effort considering they had a combined 18 shots on the 1st hole! 😂
Lewis Scott was playing off 3 and Adam Scott off 14 yesterday, and both produced when it mattered most.
Massive congratulations guys — very well played and enjoy Sawgrass! 👏👏
