Football can be about more than sport. It can create connection, confidence and belonging.
We are continuing our exploration of the projects featured in our Annual Report for London's Community Sport Team 2025-26.
Our latest Spotlight explores the Queens Park Rangers Community Trust Football Project, funded by the Mayor of London and The Football Association, which created safe, female-led football sessions for women and girls from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds.
Participants described increased confidence, improved wellbeing and opportunities to build friendships in a supportive environment.
