📢 Summer Reading Challenge Update! 📢

We're delighted to share that 30 young readers have signed up in the first week of this year's Summer Reading Challenge!

There's still plenty of time to get involved, so why not pop into your local library and sign up for a summer full of reading adventures?

The photos in this post were taken during our recent Summer Reading Challenge volunteer training session. We'd like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all our fantastic volunteers for the time, enthusiasm and support they bring to the challenge. Your hard work, especially during the recent hot weather, is greatly appreciated and helps make the Summer Reading Challenge a success for local children and families.

🎉 The Summer Reading Challenge starts on Saturday 11th July! 🎉

This year's theme is Read to the Beat: a fun, music-inspired reading adventure for all ages!

Ages 4–11: Read 6 books, collect stickers along the way, and earn a certificate and medal when you complete the challenge.

Under 4s: There's a Mini Challenge too, so even our youngest readers can join in the fun.

Ages 12 and over: Take on our reading challenge by reading 2 books and you'll be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 Mr. B's Bookshop book token.

Pop into the library to sign up! We can't wait to see what you'll be reading! 🎶📚

📚 Library Closure Notice – Thursday 📚

Due to the very high heat warnings in effect, Love Weston Library will be closed on Thursday, 25 June.

The safety and well-being of our volunteers and visitors is our top priority, and this decision has been made to help protect everyone during the extreme temperatures.

📚 New Books Have Arrived! 📚

We’ve received lots of brand new books at the library for readers of all ages!

There are new titles for:
- Children and young readers
- Adults
- Large print readers

All of the new books are now on display in the library, so pop in and have a browse. There’s something for everyone!

📚 Book Donations Needed for WestFest 2026!

Weston Library is back at WestFest on Sunday 7th June and we’d love your help to keep our community library thriving!

We’re looking for 📚 modern (post-2020), excellent-condition fiction books for adults.

Please drop off donations at the library before Thursday 4th June, or email [email protected] to arrange a handover.
