On Tuesday this week we were fortunate enough to welcome Lydia, Prem and Joe from RAF odiham to provide, cook and serve a delicious two course lunch for our clients โ˜บ๏ธ

Joe is part of our Sunday volunteers team, often helping out when he can, and we were delighted to welcome him and his colleagues to use their volunteer hours here at the Camrose Centre.

We look forward to welcoming them again soon!

We would like to say a huge thank you to Janine, and everyone at FootSteps Dance school, who have chose to support the Camrose Centre this year. They recently ran a donation station at the Dance school , requesting items that we are constantly in need of for our clients and bringing them in to us here at the centre during our Sunday session.

We are so grateful for them choosing to support the Camrose Centre ๐Ÿ’› Footsteps Dance School

๐ŸŒŸ Thank you so much to whoever ordered the boxer shorts via our Amazon wish list ๐ŸŒŸ there are going to be a lot of grateful clients this week!

However we are still extremely short of menโ€™s boxers in sizes small and medium, as these wonโ€™t last us long. Having a warm shower and fresh underwear that fits may seem like a small thing to most of us, but to someone who is sleeping rough or sofa surfing it can mean the world ๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿค

Please consider donating new, unworn underwear for both men and women (only size small required in womenโ€™s) donations can be bought into the centre during any of our sessions or ordered directly via our Amazon wish list

Thank you so much ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿค these items really do much a huge difference to the lives of the most vulnerable people in our community.

As we come to the end of Volunteers week we wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all of the wonderful people who give up their time to help out at the Camrose Centre, each and every one of them playing a vital part in making it the welcoming safe space that it is for so many.

A few pics here from our Sunday session, and our fab team today who gave up their time to provide breakfast, hot drinks and a two course hot lunch to those who are homeless or vulnerably housed. But more importantly offering a friendly face, a listening ear, and a friendly chat.

Thank you all for being part of the Camrose centre โค๏ธ

๐ŸŽ‰ A HUGE thank you to this incredible team from RSE Basingstoke who took on the Tough Mudder challenge on 9th May to raise funds for Camrose! ๐ŸŽ‰

Together, Hamza Khawaja, Stella Gatzianidis, Kenn Preston, Ali Mohemmed, Craig Beardsell, Jay Morris, Kamal Sunwar, Joao Coelho, Jack Barnard and Bradley Mayos tackled mud and obstacles over a tough course to raise vital funds for local people experiencing homelessness. They raised an amazing ยฃ3,795! ๐Ÿ‘

Every pound raised will help us continue providing practical support, advice, food, clothing, showers, healthcare access and pathways towards stable accommodation for people facing homelessness in our local community. At a time when more people than ever are struggling with housing insecurity and the rising cost of living, this support makes a genuine and lasting difference.

We are incredibly grateful to every member of the team for their determination, generosity and commitment to helping others ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŒธ A safe space just for women at the Camrose Centre

Did you know that on Wednesdays we open our doors for women only?

Our sessions are open to any female who is going through a difficult time - you donโ€™t need to be homeless to come along. Whether youโ€™re dealing with a relationship that doesnโ€™t feel safe, struggling with your mental health, or just feeling like life has become a lot to handle, you are welcome here.

We offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can:

โœ… Talk to someone who will listen
โœ… Get practical help and advice
โœ… Find out what support is available to you
โœ… Just have a cup of tea and take a breath

No appointment needed. Just come as you are.

Wednesdays at Glebe Hall 11-1

You donโ€™t have to face this alone ๐Ÿ’›

Can you help? We have almost completely run out of boxer shorts! ๐Ÿšจ

A fresh change of clothes is vitally important to those sleeping rough or sofa surfing, making them feel human again after having a shower here at the Camrose Centre. Clean underwear is a hugely important part of this.

We are in need of new, unworn menโ€™s boxer shorts, in sizes small and medium please ๐Ÿ™

If you are able to help donations can be dropped into the centre during any of our sessions - thank you!
