The Guildford Rotary Club are organising a free walking event on 17th May and offered the opportunity for the RAF Association to use this as a charity fundraiser. Dear ails are at https://rotaryinguildford.org/charity_walk.

This is an opportunity to fundraise. Anyone wishing to take part could set up a fundraising page and raise a few pounds for RAFA: unlike many charity events there is no fee and no minimum amount.

Outreach Christmas. Committee members visited all of our over 85s with whom we have up-to-date contact details. Our BWO contacted our over 80s to confirm they were well in the run-up to Christmas

Over the festive season, the Royal Air Forces Association Basingstoke Branch of Volunteers visited those over 85 who served – or whose partners served – to share goodwill and gratitude.
Simon, a serving officer and volunteer, visited Sheila at Rowan Lodge with a heartfelt card and a box of shortbread. Over coffee and biscuits, they enjoyed a wonderful chat, reminiscing and celebrating the spirit of service and community. A big thank you to Simon and the RAF team for bringing warmth and joy to our residents and local communities! https://branch.rafa.org.uk/basingstoke/
