Following the devastating fire at Rookyards in Basildon on Sunday 21 June, Basildon Council has set up a donation page to support those affected.

Many residents have suffered significant damage and loss, and together we can help them get back on their feet as quickly as possible. We are aiming to raise £5,000 with your support.

The Mayor of Basildon, Cllr Sam Journet, said:
"Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this devastating fire. Many families have experienced significant loss and uncertainty, and we want them to know that they are not facing this alone.

"Basildon is a community that comes together in times of need, and I hope residents will support this appeal and help those affected begin the process of rebuilding their lives."

Basildon is proud to celebrate and support our Armed Forces community, veterans and their families with a month of special events leading up to Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27 June.
