🇬🇧 Remembering Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Four years ago today, our nation said goodbye to Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

For so many of us, she had simply always been there — a reassuring and constant presence through decades of change, sharing in our moments of celebration and offering comfort during times of difficulty.

She devoted her entire life to serving our country and its people, carrying out that promise with an extraordinary sense of duty, grace and quiet determination.

Today, we remember not only our longest-reigning monarch, but a remarkable woman whose warmth, humour and devotion to service touched generations.

Her absence is still deeply felt, and her lifetime of service will never be forgotten.

Remembered with affection, gratitude and great respect.

May Her Late Majesty rest in peace. 🕊️🇬🇧

🇬🇧 Four Years Ago Today 🇬🇧

Four years ago today, this was the final photograph taken of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Just two days later, on 8th September 2022, our nation lost a remarkable monarch who dedicated her life to serving the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

Today we remember Queen Elizabeth II with gratitude for her unwavering sense of duty, dignity and decades of public service.

Forever in our hearts.

☕ COMMUNITY COFFEE MORNING COMING TO HOYLAND

Residents are being invited to come together for a friendly Coffee Morning in Hoyland this Tuesday, 8th September.

The event will take place at Hoyland Community Shop on High Street, S74 9AB, between 9:30am and 12 noon and is open to everyone.

Visitors can enjoy free tea, coffee, biscuits, cakes and buns, kindly provided by Hoyland Community Shop, while having the chance to meet new people and enjoy a good chat.

Age UK Barnsley will also be attending to provide information and support for residents aged over 50.

The morning is supported by the South Area Council, Hoyland Community Shop and Age UK Barnsley.

📢 £500 MORE A YEAR IN YOUR POCKET FOR 40 MILLION TAXPAYERS

Robert Jenrick has pledged to increase the tax-free Personal Allowance to £15,000 in Reform’s first Budget, delivered within the first 100 days of government.

💷 That would be the largest increase in the history of the Personal Allowance, saving the majority of taxpayers around £500 a year.

The policy would:

- Benefit around 40 million people
- Take 2.9 million people out of income tax
- Ensure the State Pension remains untaxed

After five years of the Personal Allowance being frozen by Labour and the Conservatives, Reform UK will put more money back into the pockets of working people.

Less tax. More money in your pocket.

I’m aware of the issue with the toilets at Elsecar Park, and I’ve made sure this has been reported.
