Friends of Banwell Primary School β AGM Update
Following our AGM yesterday, we wanted to update you all on some changes to our committee, as well as share a little bit about how the last year went for Friends of Banwell Primary School.
Firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you to Alice and Laura, who have stepped down from the committee after serving as Chair and Vice Chair.
We cannot thank them enough for all their hard work, dedication and tireless effort over the past year. From organising and running fundraising events to all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into keeping the PTA moving, their contribution has been hugely appreciated.
Introducing our new committee
Following last night's AGM, our committee is now:
Chris & Naomi Heal β Co-Chairs
Matt Thomson β Treasurer
Leanne Sherlock β Social Media Officer
We are still looking for a Secretary to join us. If this is something you might be interested in and you'd like to find out more about what the role involves, please speak to any of the committee or email us at:

We need YOU!
We are also looking for as many volunteers as possible to get involved with Friends of Banwell.
Volunteering doesn't have to mean taking on a committee role. There are so many ways you can help β from lending a hand at events, helping with preparations, supporting us behind the scenes, sharing ideas, or simply giving us an hour when you can.
Every bit of help makes a difference.
We know that everyone has their own skills, talents and experience to offer, and it's our amazing volunteers who help make our events possible.
If you haven't already, please also join our Friends of Banwell WhatsApp group. Whether you're new to the school or you've been part of our community for a while, we'd love to have you involved!
What a year it has been!
Last year was a fantastic year for fundraising, and we are incredibly proud of what was achieved.
Together, with the support of our school community, local businesses, volunteers, teachers and staff, we raised Β£5,797.89 through grants, donations and fundraising activities.
Most importantly, that money hasn't just sat in an account β it has been put back into Banwell Primary School to enhance the education and experiences of every child.
A massive well done and thank you to last year's committee, our teachers and school staff, everyone who volunteered at our events, the local businesses and organisations who supported us, and of course every single person who came along to, donated to or supported one of our fundraising activities.
None of this would be possible without you.
Here's to another year of working together, raising money and making a difference to our children's time at Banwell Primary School. We will be in contact with details of upcoming events.
