Polite notice from a very tired small business owner
We are not UPS, Evri, Yodel, DPD, FedEx, or Royal Mail.
We are Mail Boxes Etc. Banbury—an independently owned store, here to help with shipping, mailboxes, and printing.
Yes, we can arrange shipments with a wide range of trusted carriers.
But unless you booked your service through us, we cannot accept your parcel.
We are not a drop-off point for every courier on the internet—despite what Google or an AI might suggest.
And no—we don’t know the Royal Mail depot’s opening hours.
If I’ve just told you we aren’t Royal Mail, don’t then demand that I look it up for you.
You have a phone. Use it.
We’re also not open 24/7.
If it’s after hours and the lights are still on, we’re likely packing auction items or catching up on admin—not taking late-night walk-ins.
Please don’t start hitting, kicking, pulling at, or thrashing the door just because someone’s inside. We’re closed.
We regularly go out of our way to help—often staying late or fitting in last-minute jobs. But when that’s met with complaints about pricing (yes, even for a £1 print at 8pm), it wears you down.
Online platforms might be cheaper—but when things go wrong, good luck finding a person to talk to.
Here, you get real support, real service, and someone who actually cares that your item arrives safely or your print looks great.
We’re doing our best—under genuinely hard circumstances right now.
All we ask is patience, understanding, and basic respect.
