Over the last 4 years it has been the greatest privilege of my life to represent the people of Ballymena in MEABC. The town in which I was born and bred! I have never rested in my attempts to make Ballymena a better place to live, work, bring up a family or do business! There have been challenges, not least a global pandemic, crisis in our local economy, and difficulties accessing important services.…I feel, therefore, the work has to continue and will be standing again in May this year. I hope you can see fit to put your confidence in me again!? As always, do not hesitate to get in contact.

Today, I joined with party colleagues to hear from Employers For Childcare about the need for affordable, accessible, flexible and high-quality childcare for all children.

Parents and providers are really struggling with the impact of the cost-of-living crisis. A year ago, this sector was already in crisis and now rising costs are forcing providers to close their doors and pushing more parents, especially women, out of the workforce.

We need an Executive back up and running to invest in childcare and give every child the best start in life.
