Join us at Balmoral Castle for the return of our Family Day events on 25 July and 1 August!

Set on the picturesque North Lawn, enjoy movie screenings alongside family-friendly activities, including birds of prey displays, vintage buses, and a ranger scavenger hunt. Plus, you can take part in garden activities and much more… all included in the standard admission price.

🎬 On 25th July, catch Zootropolis 2 at 1:30pm, and on 1st August, enjoy Brave at 1:30pm.

🍔🍿 Both days will feature a BBQ, movie snacks, and a selection of drinks available to purchase.

🚙 Discover Balmoral Estate like never before with an unforgettable Expedition Tour through one of Scotland’s most remarkable landscapes.

Travel by Land Rover through ancient Caledonian pine forests and towards Lochnagar, taking in breathtaking scenery, wildlife sightings, and fascinating stories that bring the Estate to life.

Each two hour guided tour offers a unique opportunity to explore beyond the Castle grounds while learning about Balmoral’s history, wildlife, and ongoing conservation work.

This season at Balmoral, we invite you to experience a special centenary exhibition in the Castle Ballroom, marking 100 years since the birth of Queen Elizabeth II.

Through a carefully curated collection of photographs, the exhibition offers a glimpse into iconic moments from Her Majesty’s life and reign, inviting visitors to reflect on a remarkable legacy.

Perfect for a family day out, the trail features eight interactive stations for visitors of all ages to enjoy, offering a playful way to explore the natural beauty of the Estate.
