πŸ₯Ύ Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh students are making fantastic progress with their expedition preparation!

Working collaboratively in their walking groups, they have successfully planned and mapped their routes for Days 1 and 2, carefully transferring them onto their own maps and creating detailed route cards to guide their journey.

Next week, they’ll be putting their teamwork and practical skills to the test with the tent-building challenge! β›Ί

Throughout these sessions, students have demonstrated outstanding Character, commitment, and determination. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and can’t wait to see them continue to grow and succeed.

Keep up the brilliant work, Year 9! πŸ‘

⏰ The importance of being punctual 🌟

Being on time for school is about much more than attendance β€” it’s about building positive habits for the future. Arriving to school punctually helps students start the day calmly, prepared, and ready to learn, while also developing important life skills such as responsibility, organisation, and reliability.

These habits play a vital role not only in school success, but also in preparing young people for the workplace and adult life. Every lesson matters, and being on time ensures students don’t miss valuable learning opportunities or important information at the start of the day.

By working together to promote excellent punctuality, we are helping our students develop the strong routines and positive attitudes that will support them throughout their future education, careers, and beyond. πŸŽ“πŸ‘

We would like to say a huge congratulations to one of our former students, Olivier C, who recently captained Kent U17 Rugby in their impressive 69-17 victory over Eastern Counties.

Kent produced an outstanding attacking performance, showing excellent teamwork, skill, and determination throughout the match. Despite periods of pressure from Eastern Counties, Kent remained dominant with clinical finishing and strong leadership across the field.

A special mention must go to Ollie for the excellent leadership and character he displayed as captain. Leading from the front, he showed composure, resilience, and maturity during key moments of the game, helping guide his team to a fantastic result. We are incredibly proud to see Ollie continuing to achieve success and represent his county with such distinction.

Well done, Ollie!
