47 years ago, Stantonbury Campus Film Society showed 'Renaldo & Clara' by Bob Dylan. Here's the poster for it, shared for . The film received poor reviews, but at least there was free cheese and wine during the interval.

It’s happening!

We’re getting ready to relocate to our new home in High Wycombe and will be temporarily closed to onsite visitors from 1 October 2026. This is so we can safely pack up and move all our fantastic Archive collections to Denmark St, where we’re looking forward to welcoming you in Spring 2027.

Fear not budding history lovers, you can still access the Archives online during the temporary closure! Buckinghamshire History Festival will also be continuing as planned.

As part of the preparation for our upcoming move, we're reviewing a lot of our collection to make sure that they're in archive standard boxes.

Unsurprisingly, keeping your documents in an empty bag of Coales Calf Milk Powder isn't recommended, so we're going to get this rectified ahead of the big move.

After an incredible 34 years, our wonderful colleague Sally is retiring! Sally started with Buckinghamshire Archives back in 1992 and since then has contributed to over 106,000 records in our collection.

We're wishing Sally all the best for her retirement - she'll be missed!
