Road Closure - Bates Lane
Bates Lane is closed from 9th -13th April due to emergency works being undertaken by Thames Water, please see map below for diversion route.

⚠️Temporary Overnight Closure – A41 Aston Clinton Bypass⚠️

The A41 Aston Clinton Bypass will be subject to a temporary overnight closure to allow essential pothole repairs to be carried out.

Closure dates:
• From: Thursday 16 April
• To: Sunday 19 April

During this period, the road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 5am.

On Saturday 18 April, between 7am and 7pm, a reduced closure will be in place. This is to safely support a filming a driving sequence being undertaken by Red Ribbon Productions Limited. A closure is required during this time to ensure the safety of the filming crew, road users, and the wider public.

Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place for all affected traffic during the closure periods.

We appreciate that these works may cause some inconvenience and would like to thank residents, businesses, and road users for their patience while these essential repairs and additional filming activities are carried out.

🚧 Woodlands Roundabout – Works Starting This April
The Parish Council has been notified that Hampden Fields will begin major highways works at Woodlands Roundabout from April. This is a large project expected to take around 12 months to complete.
The works will prepare the area for a new “hamburger‑style” roundabout, designed to improve traffic flow in the future. Most initial activity will take place in the fields around the existing roundabout, so residents may not notice major changes to the road straight away, although they will notice extensive highways vehicles and earth movements in the area around it.
We understand that early phases should have minimal impact on traffic as the roundabout will remain open as normal. We’ll share updates on any roadworks or diversions as soon as we receive them.
