Buckinghamshire Adult Learning We offer a wide range of part-time courses for adults. From one-day to one-year courses, beginners to advanced, daytime and evening at venues across the county.

Buckinghamshire Adult Learning aims to ensure that everyone who wants to learn is able to and that no one is excluded on the grounds of disability, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or culture. Take a peek inside our Monday morning ‘Practical Gardening’ course… 🌻🪴🌺

We’re lucky to deliver this course in the stunning surroundings of Hall Barn Estate in - a truly special setting where learners can develop their gardening skills in a historic and inspiring location.

Last week, under the guidance of our expert tutor Lindsay, the group was busy maintaining and caring for the estate’s gardens, building both skills and confidence along the way. The course offers a supportive, flexible environment, combining hands-on practical work with valuable theory — all while enjoying the benefits of being outdoors.

Sean, who has been attending for around six years, shared: “The sessions offer a welcome break, great physical activity, and a real boost to wellbeing, alongside learning.”

Fellow learner Charlotte added: “The group are welcoming and friendly with an inclusive atmosphere. Lindsay’s knowledge is second to none, and the mix of practical and theory makes each session enjoyable and rewarding.”
