Following yesterday’s medical emergency, I would like to take a moment to say how proud I am of my team, whose quick actions resulted in a man’s life being saved. It’s not often we find ourselves in these emergency situations but thanks to our rigorous monthly First Aid, CPR and Lifeguard training, the team was able to deliver high quality CPR and use our Defibrillator to save a man’s life. The importance this training and equipment has had in this situation resulted in the best outcome and without this and him being in our care we could have seen a completely different devastating outcome. Josh and Joe a huge well done 👏 💗

In light of this incident, I would like to offer a completely FREE 1 hour session of CPR for anyone to come along to. Whether you want to refresh your mind or learn this important life skill, come along on Wednesday 8th January at 7pm to The Flamingo Community Pool. Please register your interest to [email protected] to join us on the 8th. If interest is high we will run more sessions in the near future!

Group Swimming Lessons reminder to re-enrol for September. Current swimmers will have had a slip last week detailing your class and any badges awarded. Please call us on 01297 35800 for any assistance/to re-book. We will start to call our waiting list to fill the remaining spaces from next week. Please call in if you'd like to be added to the list from Parent & Toddler through to Advanced and Elite! September will be a 7 week block from Mon 9th September. We also have some remaining spaces in our separate 5 week summer holiday block on a Monday, call for info 📞😀 💦🥽

MAIN POOL UPDATE
Friday 6th January 2023

We wanted to update you with some positive news moving forward. Professional and expert guidance has been sought and the outcome is promising.

We are able to source and install new materials to reinforce the underneath framework of our aged pool. With work commencing next week, we are hopeful we can welcome all customers back soon. The complete timeframe is still uncertain, but we will update you as soon as we know more.

We thank you all for your patience and kind messages in this tough period for our pool.

Notice to all Customers
Monday 2nd January 2023

UPDATE.

Following our previous post relating to the closure of the Main Pool, the Main Pool remains empty and closed due to a major fault relating to the structure of the Pool. We have been in contact with experts and are awaiting their response. We thank you all for your patience and understanding in what is a truly devastating time for the Flamingo Pool.

We need your support now, more than ever and we will update via our social media channels when we have more news and hopefully an updated timeframe on the length of the closure, however at this current time we are led to believe it will be at least for the entirety of January 2023 possibly further.

The Hydrotherapy Pool remains open and has not been affected but prior booking is essential. Please be aware our phone lines will be extremely busy, so we ask for your patience when phoning to book a slot.

The Beginner lessons will be running as normal in the Hydrotherapy Pool, and we will be in contact with all Main Pool lessons in due course.
