🌟 MEET THE TEAM 🌟

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing all the wonderful members of our Tick Tocks team!

We know many of you already know us, but with new families joining and some children moving into new rooms, we thought it would be lovely to refresh everyone’s memories and help you become familiar with the staff who care for and support your children.

First, we would like to introduce Sarah Perryment, our Day-to-Day Manager, Safeguarding Lead and SENDCo. 👋

Sarah has been part of Tick Tocks for an incredible 24 years and plays an important role in overseeing the day-to-day running of the nursery.

💛 What does Sarah love most about Tick Tocks?

“There is so much I enjoy that it’s difficult to choose just one thing! I love being part of such a fantastic, hardworking team and watching the children learn, grow and thrive during their time with us. It is incredibly rewarding to build relationships with our children and families and to know that we are making a positive difference. Even after 24 years, no two days are ever the same! Although I now spend more time in the office, I still love being hands-on, joining in with the children’s play and helping to extend their ideas, thinking and learning.”

Outside of Tick Tocks, Sarah lives in Charmouth with her family and has three daughters.

It has been an emotional week as we’ve said goodbye to our school leavers who are heading off on their exciting new beginnings. 🎓💛

Although there have been a few tears, the children have had a wonderful week celebrating their time at Tick Tocks and making some lovely final memories with their friends.

We would like to say a huge thank you for all the thoughtful gifts, cards and kind messages we have received over the past week. Your generosity and appreciation truly mean so much to us, and we are incredibly grateful.

We wish all our school leavers the very best for their next adventure—we know they will all be amazing! 🌟

We’re also looking forward to welcoming our new children and families to Tick Tocks over the next few weeks and helping them begin their own special journeys with us. 🥰

What a wonderful week we’ve had welcoming all of the children back after our summer break! ☀️

It has been lovely to see the children back playing with their friends, settling back into nursery routines and enjoying lots of fun together.

We are also delighted that both rooms now have air conditioning installed, which has made a huge difference to both the children and staff, especially as the beautiful weather continues.

Preschool room has had a fresh repaint and a new layout, and the children have loved exploring their refreshed environment. Our Baby and Toddler room has also had some exciting additions to the garden, including a brand-new mud kitchen and other outdoor resources, which have already been a big hit!

Over the next few weeks, we will be saying goodbye to our school leavers as they prepare for their exciting new adventure at primary school. Recently, we all enjoyed a fantastic day together at Foxdown Farm, where the children had a wonderful time exploring the farm, meeting lots of friendly animals and taking part in new experiences. It was a lovely opportunity, creating special memories that we hope the children will cherish as they move on to school.

We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved during their time with us and wish each and every one of them the very best as they begin this new chapter ❤️

What a great day celebrating England’s World Cup match tomorrow! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The children have had lots of fun cooling off with lots of splashing in the paddling pool, and listening to “It’s Coming Home!” 🎶⚽

We’ve also had a brilliant week with a fun-filled visit from Drama Tots, where the children enjoyed lots of imaginative play and movement. To help keep cool in the warm weather, we also made our own healthy fruit ice lollies by blending a variety of delicious fruits – they were a huge hit! 🍓🍌🍍🍉🍦

Good luck, England – we’ll all be cheering you on tomorrow!

What a busy month we’ve had in our Baby and Toddler Room! 🌟

Our little learners have loved exploring different ways to make marks and get creative using paint, sand, flour, water and foam, both indoors and outdoors.
We’ve also been learning about simple patterns, discovering how to keep our bodies healthy through exercise, brushing our teeth, and making healthy food choices. 🦷🍎🏃

The children have enjoyed talking about their families, sharing special photographs from home, and learning about the similarities and differences that make each family unique. Their family photos are now proudly displayed on our digital photo frame in our home corner, where they love looking at them and sharing them with their friends. ❤️

🏴‍☠️🌊 Our Preschool children have had lots of fun exploring our Pirates and Under the Sea topics!

From exciting science experiments to creating fantastic pirate ships and colourful sea creatures using recycled materials, the children have loved getting creative. They’ve enjoyed imaginative role play, shared lots of wonderful pirate and ocean stories, and discovered fascinating facts about different sea creatures. 🐠🐙📚

It’s been wonderful to see their confidence, curiosity, creativity, and teamwork grow through hands-on learning and play. We can’t wait for our next adventure! 💙✨
