📢 Calling all UK veterans who served under the United Nations Blue Beret

Join us on 21 May at the Cenotaph in Whitehall for a wreath-laying ceremony marking the International Day of UN Peacekeepers and remembering the more than 4,000 UN peacekeepers who have lost their lives in the cause of peace.

This year for the first time, a wreath will be laid by Lynda Atkins, National Chair of the Royal British Legion, with Legion members carrying the United Nations flag.

If you served on a UN deployment in any capacity, we warmly invite you to take part in the parade.

For more information and how take part, please contact: [email protected]

This year marks 15 years since the end of the Iraq War.

To mark the anniversary we are inviting all those who served in the conflict, their family members, and those who lost loved ones, to come together at the National Memorial Arboretum on Friday 22 May.

The national commemorative event will ensure the Armed Forces community’s unique contribution is not forgotten, and remember the 179 British personnel who lost their lives.

We’ve heard a few whispers floating around about our Branch Chaplain✝️, Geoff, and his possible “retirement” as Branch Chaplin, So, to clear things up: Geoff isn’t going anywhere just yet. He remains the beating heart (and occasional comic relief) of our RBL family, and he’ll be hanging up his chaplain’s stole when he decides the time is right.💒

For those lovely folk who’ve potentially been eyeing up the role — don’t worry, we see you. While the chaplain’s seat isn’t opening any time soon, our branch doors are always wide open for you to become a member of the branch. If you’d like to join us as a volunteer, collector, promoter, recruiter, or general bringer-of-good-energy, you’d be welcomed into our family with open arms.

There’s always room for more good people doing good things.
