Crisis and Resilience Fund: Support Somerset Residents

Somerset Council is promoting the Crisis and Resilience Fund which offers support for Somerset residents who need urgent help with essential living costs

How to get help
The Crisis Resilience Fund helps Somerset residents who are struggling to pay for basics and need urgent support. It is for people facing sudden financial problems, such as losing income or an unexpected bill.

The fund can help with:
• Food and essential groceries
• Gas and electricity bills
• Other urgent living costs

Citizens Advice Somerset will talk to you about your situation, check what help is available, and help you choose the best option. This might include emergency funding, as well as advice on benefits, debt, or budgeting, to help you feel more
stable.

The Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) is designed to offer targeted help to people facing sudden financial difficulties.

We’ve launched our new Health & Wellbeing Survey and we want to hear from as many residents as possible.

The survey gives people the chance to share what matters most to them, from mental health and physical activity to smoking, alcohol, oral health and more. It’s completely anonymous and only takes a few minutes to complete.

Your insight helps us shape future services and better support our communities.

Take the survey by clicking the link in the comments below.

Adult Social Care strategy is set to be renewed in 2026

Somerset Council is asking residents, unpaid carers, and organisations to have their say in shaping the future of care and support across the county.

Its current Adult Social Care strategy is set to be renewed in 2026 and will set out key priorities for the next three years. Your feedback is important to help shape the strategy as you know your communities best . Please could you also encourage your residents to take part too.

The aim is to ensure the new strategy, covering 2026–2029, reflects what matters most to those who live and work in local communities.

The online consultation is now open, making it easy for everyone to contribute their views.

The consultation is open until Friday 27th March.
