๐Ÿš’ Congratulations to Firefighters Stuart Boon and Tomasz Kwiczala! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

A huge congratulations to Stuart and Tomasz, who successfully passed their Green Phase Assessment in August with excellent feedback.

This milestone marks the completion of their three-year trainee firefighter journey. As fully competent firefighters, they are now qualified to lead a Breathing Apparatus (BA) team and will soon take on the role of buddies for our next recruits.

We couldnโ€™t be prouder of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the service. ๐Ÿ’ช

They are pictured here with our Watch Commander during a recent visit from our colleagues at Invergordon Fire Station, a Tier 3 Wildfire Unit. Our Invergordon colleagues provided valuable insight into their specialist wildfire equipment, helping us strengthen our own capability as a Tier 2 Wildfire station so we can deploy alongside them when needed.

This collaboration highlights how we continually learn, develop, and grow throughout our careers, supported by the ongoing investment and training opportunities provided by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS).

๐Ÿ”ฅ Well done again to Stuart and Tomasz โ€” weโ€™re proud to have you on the team! ๐Ÿš’

Update on our charity walk for the James Support Group:

Unfortunately, due to the forecasted severe weather conditions from Storm Amy, we've had to postpone our charity walk scheduled for this Friday, October 3rd.

Safety is our top priority, and with the Met Office warning of a risk to life, it wouldn't be responsible for us to proceed with the walk in full firefighting kit.

We're all disappointed, but we'll reschedule for a later date, possibly next year when the weather is more favorable.

Weโ€™re still proud of the progress we've made so far, with over ยฃ1700 raised, and weโ€™re so grateful for everyone's support.

We'll keep you updated on the new date and look forward to completing the challenge when it's safe to do so ๐Ÿชถ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿฉต
