Please pick up the lost property at the Park - it’s a pity to see the nice (and not that cheap) clothes being ruined by the weather! Jacket with a sticker ‘Burns-Smith’, hoodie with the school logo age 9/10 (no name), jumper with the school logo with a sticker ‘Caelan Coupar’, plain purple jumper with a sticker ‘Amelie Coupar’, green& white carhartt beanie (no name), red water bottle with a sticker ‘Tyson Horne’ and grey moro pattern hoodie from George/ASDA age 13-14 (no name) that had been cut into pieces. This wee star wanted to litter pick her local play park and she made sure she got every single bit! Well done Amber for helping keep our community tidy!
As you may have noticed the bin promised from The Highland Council has not appeared yet despite a few emails and phone calls. I think we can all agree that it is definately needed! Fingers crossed it appears soon! Definately keep at it for now 🤞

😀Our Picnic in the Park Opening Ceremony was a huge success. Thank you all who could make it today.

🌟 This wouldn’t have happened today without our wonderful Anna Filipek who managed to organise this event in 4 days! We thought we better get this done quick before the weather turns next week!

🙏 A BIG thank you to all the amazing community spirited businesses who generously donated food and supplies to mark our success. Thank you very much Tesco, Harry Gow’s, Co-op, Home Bargains, The Balavoulin and The Cairngorm Hotel.

⛺️ Thank you Aviemore Communtiy Enterprise for the use of the tent and thank you Root’s and Shoots for the use of the tarpaulin.

🫵An equally BIG thank you to all the lovely people who baked delicious goodies and brought food to share. It was so appreciated by all and there was hardly any food left!

🎨 It was lovely to have Pamela Hardwick and Claire Carson come to do face painting. Lots of happy kids with some amazing designs!

It’s truly is amazing what can be achieved in a year ✌️

🍰 Well we got the grub 😀 just need you to pop along and help eat it along with any other lovely donations if anyone has been fabulous enough 🌟

Today the park passed its safety inspection and the fence is coming down!!! One piece of equipment still to be installed hopefully this week however kids can play in the park!!!! See you there after school 🤣

Look what’s turned up today! It’s a bit of a commotion down on Burnside Road just now. There’s 2 very large HGV’s that are currently unloading our much anticipated play park.
A big thank you to all the surrounding residents of the park who are putting up with the disturbance. Your understanding at this time is very appreciated.

The fence is up and we have heavy machinery on site! We are pretty excited 😆

The old play equipment foundations are coming out including some of the pathing and surfacing preparing the ground for Wicksteed installation commencing 21/10.

Rubbish weather today for the guys working there - we really appreciate your hard work!

🌟 Play Park Construction Starting Soon! 🌟

We are excited to announce that work on the new play park in Aviemore will officially begin on 30th September!

Here’s what to expect:

Week commencing 30/09: Small sections of the park will be isolated as foundation digging begins.

Week commencing 07/10: The entire site will be fenced off, and large machinery will need access from Burnside Road. Please ensure no parking on the play park entrance on Burnside Road during this period to allow safe and efficient work.

Week commencing 21/10: Installation by Wicksteed starts. Wicksteed will need access from the car park on Burnside Road and space to house their compound. Please ensure no parking during this period.

We’re hoping the project will be completed by 15/11 weather dependant.

📅 Paul Boyd, our Wicksteed site manager, will be available weekly from 21/10 to answer any questions. Exact times and days will be confirmed soon!

A huge thank you to Aviemore Community Enterprise, our charity platform, and to the Community Regeneration Fund for making this possible, along with all of your amazing fundraising efforts!

We’d also like to extend a special thanks to the residents surrounding the play park who will bear the brunt of the disturbance during construction. Your understanding and patience mean so much as we work to bring this exciting project to life. All residents should have received a letter from the Highland Council. Special thanks to Anna Fillipek for delivering these! 💌

We are absolutely thrilled to see all our hard work pay off as the long-awaited play park project finally begins! 🎉 After months of planning, fundraising, and community effort, it’s incredible to see the first steps towards creating a space that everyone can enjoy.
