(VARIOUS ROADS ROADS IN THE DISTRICT OF NORTH WEST LEICESTERSHIRE)

CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2022 (VARIOUS ROADS, DISTRICT OF NORTH WEST LEICESTERSHIRE) (AMENDMENT 17) ORDER 202

The Leicestershire County Council (“the Council”) in exercise of its powers under Sections 1,2, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) as amended, and of all other enabling powers and after consultation
with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act hereby makes the following Order:-

1. This Order shall come into operation on and may be cited as the“Leicestershire County Council (Various Roads, District of North West Leicestershire) Consolidation Order 2022 (Various Roads, District of North West Leicestershire)
(Amendment 17) Order 202

2. The "Leicestershire County Council (District of North West Leicestershire) Consolidation Order 2022" is hereby amended by the plan(s) specified in the First Schedule to this Order and with the inclusion of the plan(s) specified in the Second Schedule, attached hereto.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Footpath From Pennine Way To Cambrian Way, Ashby de la Zouch
Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate footpath patching.

A public right of way closure is required on Footpath From Pennine Way To Cambrian Way on the 16th June 2026 for one day.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be signed on site.

✨ Exciting updates at the Bath Grounds! ✨
Thanks to the feedback shared in our 2022 and 2024 visitor surveys, we’re enhancing the Heritage Trail to make it safer and more welcoming for everyone.
💡 New lighting is currently being installed along the route from the South Street entrance to Prior Park Road. The lighting posts are now going up, with connections to power planned for later this month into early July.
We’re grateful for your input—it’s helping us improve the park for all visitors to enjoy, day and evening! 🌳🚶‍♂️

UK Town of Culture 2028 Update

Thank you for taking the time to submit an expression of interest to the UK Town of Culture 2028 competition. We are delighted by the energy and enthusiasm it has generated amongst towns. We previously told you that we would announce the shortlist in Spring. As a result of the exceptional response we have received, the expert advisory panel require additional time to assess all of the bids, and we will now announce the shortlisted towns by the end of July.

You will receive an email to your Single Point of Contact with the outcome of your application, and shortlisted towns will receive further information on the next steps of the competition.
