Something special is on its way… ✉️✨

We are delighted to have sent out our golden tickets to all children starting Reception this September!

The golden ticket invites the children to our transition days which provide an exciting opportunity for them to visit our school, explore their new setting and meet all of their new friends.

Parents, you will also receive a save-the-date inviting you to come and join us for an information evening.

Keep a close eye on your post over the next week… your golden ticket should be arriving very soon!

Today is a very special day as we celebrate Primary School Offers Day! 🎉

A huge welcome to all the families who have been offered a place at Hilltop Primary Academy — we are absolutely delighted that you will be joining (or continuing!) your journey with our school community.

Starting school is such an important milestone and we are looking forward to supporting each child as they grow, learn and thrive with us.

We will be in touch soon about what to expect but in the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!

What a great visit to Hilltop School in Ashbourne! The children were fantastic and the teachers so welcoming. I really enjoyed talking to the pupils about the work we do in the police and how we help keep people safe.

We have had some very exciting visitors this afternoon!

Simon Hellaby and Tim Baker returned to Hilltop to show us the fantastic balls they have painted for this year’s Shrovetide.

We were also very lucky to speak with Sir Andrew Walker Okeover and Peter Mellor who have the honour of turning up the balls this year. It was also great to see former Hilltop student, Archie Wright, who is making a documentary all about Shrovetide.

The countdown is on… 🤩

Due to the travel conditons and staffing ratios in school we have made the unfortunate decision to close school today. Teachers will be in sending work out via Dojo and will be available on Dojo throughout the day.

This morning our Special Secret shop opened for our children to choose some special gifts for the people in their lives! A massive thank you to our wonderful PTA for giving up their time and acting as our secret elves and wrapping up the presents! We hope you all enjoy them when you open them on Christmas day! 🎅
