Signal for Carers

Signal for Carers Signal provides services to support unpaid, informal carers in the Bracknell Forest community.

We are here to support adult carers who provide unpaid, informal care. A carer is someone who provides unpaid help and support to family or friends. You or someone you know could be caring for a partner, child, relative, friend or a neighbour who is ill, frail, disabled or who has mental health or substance misuse problems; anyone can become a carer at any age.

Bracknell Forest Council are offering free single bus trips on Thames Valley Buses and Reading Buses in the lead-up to Christmas.

This offer is funded by the Department for Transport.

If you take a Thames Valley Bus or Reading Bus on a Saturday or Sunday from Saturday 6 December to Sunday 21 December, your outbound trip is free, no matter where you’re going.

If you travel outside the borough, you must pay for your return trip. This is unless there's a similar scheme from where you return.

Wokingham Borough Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead have similar schemes. Check for details on their websites before you travel.

Regular and new bus users are all welcome.

This offer is not available on Saturday 27 December or Sunday 28 December.

Trustees’ Week is a time for us to come together to celebrate the achievements of nearly one million trustees across the UK.

The Ark, the charity that provides the SIGNAL4Carers service, has an amazing board of trustees, including those with lived experience of caring, and we would like to thank them for the time, commitment and effort they bring to help us thrive.
