๐ŸŒณ A behind the scenes update from Magillian Tree Nursery ๐ŸŒณ Want to place an order? The process is simple...

โ€ข Step 1, Contact: Email [email protected] for the latest stock and prices
โ€ข Step 2, Watch for updates: They'll let you know when your order is ready
โ€ข Step 3, Collect Magilligan Field Centre: Most collections are from the tree nursery office outside Limavady (larger orders are collected by arrangement from HMP Magilligan)

Thanks to everyone across Mid and East Antrim who took part in National Walking Month with Walking for All ๐Ÿ‘

Throughout May, communities came together to enjoy led walks, meet new people, spend time outdoors and take positive steps for their health and wellbeing.

It was fantastic to see so many people getting involved, whether attending a walk for the first time, returning week after week, or helping create welcoming spaces where people feel connected and supported.

A special thank you to our Walk Leaders and all those who continue to make these walks possible across our communities.

Take a look at some of the highlights from National Walking Month and see the impact walking can have.

Our Walking for All Officer Caitriona is still actively seeking residents and community groups interested in leading walks on a regular basis in rural communities across Mid and East Antrim Borough Councilโ€™s area. To find out more about Walk Leader training or setting up a walk in your community, contact [email protected].

Walking for All is a project supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.

What a fantastic way to celebrate a year of learning, growing and friendship!

Pupils from Bushmills Primary School and Nursery Unit and Gaelscoil an Chaistil, Gaelic-medium nursery and primary school were at Broughgammon Farm this morning for a special picnic to mark the completion of the Sow Grow Eat project.

As part of the celebration, the children enjoyed a guided tour of the farm, where they helped feed the hens, pigs and chicks, and explored the vegetable patch while learning about the food growing there. They also took part in a special baking session with Dara from Ursa Minor Bakehouse, allowing them to create and enjoy delicious bread.

Over the past year, the children have explored farming, food production, biodiversity and sustainability through hands-on activities, from planting and harvesting to cooking and caring for the environment.

Sow, Grow, Eat is part of the Building Peaceful and Thriving Communities: Nature and Environment Programme delivered by Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust on behalf of Coast and Glens Borough Council. This project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

A huge thank you to Broughgammon Farm, Becky Cole, the schools, pupils and everyone who helped make the project such a success. We are incredibly proud of all that the children have achieved!

Take a look at some highlights from the celebration and the many memories made throughout the project.

๐Ÿ˜ This arch marks the start of a very special section of coastline!

The Black Arch sits at the southern coastal boundary of the Antrim Coast & Glens Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It frames the opening few miles of coast with nearby Drainโ€™s Bay, Ballygalley and Carnfunnock waiting to be explored before this celebrated route continues towards two more AONBs and beyond.
