๐ŸŒŠ Learning Together Across Lough Foyle
Last Wednesday, pupils from St Aidanโ€™s Primary School, Magilligan and Scoil Cholmcille, Greencastle came together for Learning Together Across Lough Foyle, part of the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council PEACEPLUS Nature & Environment Programme.

The morning was spent exploring the coastline at Magilligan with Michael from Magilligan Field Centre, who led the pupils in a combination of litter picking and beachcombing.

But it wasnโ€™t just about picking up litter โ€” the pupils identified what they found, thought about where it had come from and how it had made its way onto the beach, and discovered more about the natural and human influences on our coastline.

The morning finished with a creative challenge, using some of their finds to create coastal beach art.

The Nature & Environment Project is delivered by Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust on behalf of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council and is proudly supported by , managed by the Special EU Programmes Body

A couple of weekends ago, Project Officer Grace led a tour of Ballykelly and Magilligan for the The Ulster Archaeological Society. It was lovely to share some of the monuments in Binevenagh AONB with the group as well as highlight some of the projects undertaken through the Binevenagh & Coastal Lowlands Landscape Partnership Scheme.
Thanks to everyone who came along, and special thanks to Khris at Walworth House for allowing us to visit, and Mark from Love Heritage NI for sharing his knowledge of the Martello Tower with us.

What a fantastic day at Ulster Gliding Centre!โœˆ๏ธ
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today and got the chance to be introduced to the amazing world of gliding. We hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we did!

It was also brilliant to see the great progress being made by the Soaring Futures Youth Group, who are busy building their very own glider.

And, of course, no event is complete without plenty of ice cream ๐Ÿฆfrom Kennedy's Ice Cream & Grill and some super sausage rolls! The Little Deli catering company

This project is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund Northern Ireland, helping us create opportunities for young people to learn new skills, explore aviation heritage and get hands-on with an incredible project.
