This is why we can’t easily pick up swarms once they’ve moved into a cavity….

Swarms are programmed to build comb fast, within a week they will have built their new home and won’t leave unless all comb has been cut out.

This is what we cut out this week. We found the queen and the bees are now safely in their new hive.

Beautifully smooth and creamy soft set honey now available from my hives in Bradfield. Nothing added, nothing taken away, simply pure raw honey with all it’s goodness. Made from nectar gathered by the bees in the fields of oil seed r**e. The vibrant yellow fields may have faded but the honey left behind can be savoured 😋🍯🐝
