Yesterday I left Appleby to capture The Dalesman further afield, despite the drizzle. It was fun and I hope you enjoy the video, but the stop in the Eden Valley Loop does not compare to the interest of a water stop at Appleby!

On Saturday we had "Galatea" as "Sierra Leone" hauling the "Cumbrian Mountain Express" and on Sunday we had "British India Line" hauling "The Waverley" for its final tour this season.

Yesterday Galatea visited hauling the Cumbrian Mountain Express. Today it will be British India Line hauling The Waverley.

Flying Scotsman visited Appleby again yesterday, hauling The Waverley in the rain after completing repairs from its previous ill-fated tour. British India Line had been standing in during the repairs. After seeing just how crowded the station became last month, I decided to start with some time lapse photography of the station filling up. This turned out not be be a good idea! Many thanks to Barry Dixon who contributed his footage too.
