The Chaplain General, together with the Grenadier Guards Chaplain and the AHQ Staff Chaplain, had the honour of leading the consecration of two new Colours for the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards at Buckingham Palace.

The occasion marked a significant moment in the regiment's history, as one of the new Colours will be carried by The King's Company at the King's Birthday Parade on 13th June.

Our chaplains continue to play a vital role in remembering and honouring those who gave their lives in service. It is both a privilege and responsibility to lead Commonwealth War Graves Commission rededication services and burials, ensuring that the fallen are remembered with dignity and care.

Recently Padre Day, one of our newer chaplains who serves with 22 and 26 Engineer Regiments, travelled to Belgium to lead four rededication services. These services honoured two previously missing officers and two soldiers from the First World War, whose stories can now be properly marked and remembered.✝

Moments like these are a powerful reminder of the enduring commitment to remembrance and the importance of recognising every individual who gave their life.

With thanks to the MOD War Detectives and the Commonwealth War Graves for their continued work in remembering the fallen.

On the anniversary of the D-Day landings, we pause to honour all who served in Normandy and to remember those who gave their lives in service. πŸ™

We reflect on the immense sacrifice made in the pursuit of peace and freedom and remember, in particular, our fallen military chaplains who served selflessly with compassion and faith alongside those on the front line.

Did you know that Army Chaplains deploy on United Nations Peacekeeping missions alongside frontline troops? From Cyprus to Somalia, wherever British soldiers serve, chaplains serve too.

Today, on the International Day of UN Peacekeepers, we're proud to be one small part of a much bigger mission for peace and give thanks for all peacekeepers, military and civilian, who serve with courage, compassion and commitment.

Following their commissioning service last week at the Armed Forces Chaplaincy Centre in Shrivenham, we are delighted to welcome four new Army Reserve Chaplains into the Royal Army Chaplains' Department. πŸ‘

Their ministry will see them walking alongside reserve soldiers and their families, offering support wherever and whenever needed.

We wish them every blessing and success as they begin this new journey of reserve service in the British Army. πŸ™

Today we mark Pentecost Sunday, remembering when the Holy Spirit came to the disciples, bringing light, courage and renewed purpose. Often symbolised by a dove and flame, Pentecost is a powerful reminder of hope and presence. πŸ•Š

For British Army Chaplains, this is reflected in their daily work. Chaplains are called to stand alongside service personnel and their families offering pastoral care, spiritual support and moral guidance in any circumstance. Be that in times of challenge, transition or routine service. Pentecost reminds us that no one is alone and that strength, hope and guidance are always at hand.

As we mark , we give thanks to all who serve and for the opportunity to care for the Army’s people wherever duty takes them.
