Today, our team in Saudi joined the global celebration of St Vincent and the Grenadines Independence Day, coming together through great food, culture, and camaraderie. 🌍👨‍🍳

🇫🇯 Fiji Independence Day Celebrations 🇫🇯

This week, we came together to celebrate Fiji Independence Day — a little later than planned, but full of the same spirit, pride, and heart.

The Fijian community gathered for an emotional and heartfelt evening filled with history, song, and incredible food. It was a chance to honour the people of Fiji, their unwavering dedication to both their homeland and the British Army, and the sacrifices they continue to make in service and unity.

No matter where they are in the world, they carry Fiji in their hearts — and this celebration truly reflected that. ❤️💙🇫🇯

We give thanks to Pte Deucu for his support and leadership, bringing the team together to make traditional food, the traditional way ✨

St Vincent & The Grenadines Independence Day
Our chefs- tonight lead by Cpl Jacobs put on a fantastic islands spread as soldiers from across the Battle Group came together to celebrate in unison with great food, music, history and poetry.
It was a night full of flavour, culture and community spirit — and even better, the chefs used the occasion to raise money for those affected in Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa.

In light of the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, the RTR BG Catering Department is organising a fundraising initiative to support the relief efforts. This campaign provides an opportunity for us to come together and assist those whose lives have been profoundly affected by this disaster.

Given the multicultural nature of our workforce, some of those impacted may be family members or close friends of our own team members. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will directly support those in need and demonstrate our collective commitment to compassion and community.

This week we continued celebrating Deepawali — honouring the warriors, guardians, and animals who support daily life, and the special bond between siblings 💫

🖤 Day 1: Ravens & Crows – messengers and protectors
🐶 Day 2: Dogs – loyalty, love, and guardians of home
🐄 Day 3: Cows – our national animal and nurturing mother, symbol of prosperity and blessings from Laxmi Mata, Goddess of Wealth
🐂 Day 4: Oxen – strength and hard work in the fields
👫 Day 5: Brothers & Sisters – celebrating love, care, and lifelong connection

The evening ended with the community coming together — sharing food, laughter, and light 🌺✨
