Former Conservative Councillor backs Lib Dems🌲➡️🔶in Local Elections on Thursday 7th May.
Former Conservative Councillor, now Independent Katie Brooks is backing Jason Sangster to be next Andover North Councillor.
In her Message Backing Jason, Katie Said:
"I was a member of the Conservative Party for many years, and in 2023 I had the privilege of being elected as a Councillor on Test Valley Borough Council, representing Andover.
I became a councillor to support the community I live in and where I am raising my family. I was determined to help deliver real, positive change for local people.
However, over my two years as a Conservative councillor, that change did not happen. Instead, I experienced repeated questioning, mocking, and discrimination from within the party. As a result, I made the decision last year to resign from the Tory party.
This election, I am proud to be backing Jason Sangster as your next County Councillor.
Jason is someone who genuinely cares about our community. He understands the challenges local people face and works tirelessly to address them. As County Councillor, he will focus on protecting local services, fixing our roads, and improving our environment.
Jason is a local person who has grown up here and is committed to getting things done for the area we all call home.
Soon, you will have the opportunity to vote in these important County Council elections. Realistically, this is a contest between Jason Sangster, a hardworking local candidate, and another Conservative candidate who has not delivered for our area. Other parties are unlikely to win here.
If you want to see a different direction for our community, I encourage you to support Jason Sangster."
