Too early to mention the C word? We're already making plans and know this event will be really popular so please book your places early. We're delighted to be joined by local florist, Moira Angus, for a fabulously festive Christmas wreath making evening and enjoy a delicious grazing platter.

Make a stunning, fresh foliage Christmas wreath for your front door. You can go full glitz and glam with baubles and glitter or keep it very natural with cones, cinnamon sticks and dried oranges, whatever your style.

We’ll be making them from scratch, starting with moss and seasonal foliage and I’ll be guiding you through it every step of the way. You’ll be amazed at the results! All equipment/materials provided (except scissors, please bring your own).

Our delicious grazing platter includes local cheese, charcuterie meats, salad, pickles, fruit, nuts, hummus and crudities, dips, pâté, savoury biscuits, olives, sundried tomatoes, cornichons and grapes. The price also includes a filter coffee or tea. Alcohol will be available to purchase including local beers, w**e, prosecco, c***r plus there’s a range of alcohol free and soft drinks.

Are you searching for a relaxing few hours with family and friends?

Join us for a leisurely guided walk around the reserve, during our West Chevington open day. We'll look at the different habitats there and talk about the work the Biodiversity Boost Project completed to enhance habitats and increase biodiversity.

We’re sorry, but dogs are not allowed on the guided walk. Suitable for families, children and adults. Age 10+. £3 per person.

Join our conservation officer for an introduction to biological recording and learn how to photograph and submit your wildlife sightings in our biological recording workshop

During the short workshop, you will learn how to use the iNaturalist app and use it to record the biodiversity around us. Then we'll head-out on to the reserve to take some photographs of wildlife before returning to the classroom to upload our findings.

*Please note this workshop is designed for absolute beginners who have not used the iNaturalist app before and who own an iphone (please bring this with you.) The instructional parts of our session will be based on iPhone functionalities, but android users are welcome to attend.

This is an indoor and outdoor session. Please dress for the weather and walk.

Thursday 10th September. Suitable for beginners, age 16+. £3 per person. Booking is required.
